Aprile Naturale has a 30-year history as a health/mental health program administrator. She earned a Ph.D. in clinical social work from Columbia University New York after studying psychology and women’s studies. She specializes in traumatic stress and emergency response and community resilience.
Since 2015 she has been working as a mass violence response consultant for the Department of Justice/Office for Victims of Crime. She has a long list of academic research publications in the field of psychology, specifically focusing on traumatic stress in the aftermath of violent events.
